Can you guys give us some privacy, please? Felix Rey and I are having a moment. I almost always love the sparkly, witty, slightly off-kilter (in a good way) bags that the brand puts out, put I am particularly enamored with the Felix Rey Sequin Bow Clutch.

There’s something about the combination of sequins and fuchsia that just makes say YES, PLEASE. Maybe it’s my latent David Bowie-fandom, or maybe it’s the drag queen inside of me that’s raring to get out. Or maybe, just possibly, it’s the fact that the brand’s designers managed to take loud material and make it not only socially acceptable, but also pretty.

If you’re interested into adding some sparkle to an outfit (any outfit, really), this is perhaps the most perfect option that I’ve come across. It’s a wristlet instead of a frame or box clutch, which allows it to be used casually, in spite of the material, if you so desire (and I do, for the record). At nine inches long, it’s also big enough for daytime essential. It IS made of fuchsia sequins, after all, so its transition to an evening bag is all too easy.

The glimmering material takes center stage, but the added bit of texture that comes from the bow pleating gives the bag an extra bit of that mysterious, indescribable voodoo that makes a bag great.

One of the things I really love about working on PurseBlog Savvy is that I get a chance to look at bags that are actually reasonably priced. In addition to this, I come across brands that I’m not familiar with. We are all familiar with brands like Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton or Chanel, but until I had the chance to work on this site, I had never heard of a brand like IRO. Now that I have, I am pretty happy. Granted, I don’t own one of these bags but if I were to, this one might be an option.
I wasn’t sure what I was going to expect when I came across the IRO Arki Studded Bag. I usually hold my breath for just a second when I see the word “studded” in the name of a bag. I never know what to expect. Yet with this bag, studs are almost an after thought. They are there, but they definitely are not in your face. I am really enjoying the soft yet not boring color of the bag. At the same time, the leather looks completely smooshy and supple. The zippered shoulder strap isn’t my favorite, but at the same time, it is a unique detail. This would be a nice option for when you are feeling a bit edgy, yet not too edgy.
